MPI manufactures a variety of melt bolt thermocouples to measure the polymer processing temperature.

Our A400 series thermocouples are the most common design used in polymer processing thanks to their simple, rugged design.

A40A series thermocouples are used to measure temperature at different depths, as they can be adjusted while the polymer is molten.

A40C series thermocouples provide very accurate temperature measurement, with sensing tips thermally isolated from the barrel with a ceramic insulator.

A40B series thermocouples are used in applications where measurement is required at a deeper depth than can normally be accommodated with A400 series thermocouples. Their tapered, flat profile provides great lateral strength, and can be positioned to reduce drag from the plastic flow.
