Proper Installation

Extruder Rupture Disks installation is very critical. They must be installed flush on the inner barrel of the extruder.
If there is an excessive dead space, plastic material may harden and form a plug. This may render the Extruder Rupture Disks ineffective, and cause a safety hazard.

Temperature Effects on Extruder Rupture Disks

Extruder Rupture Disks are effected by temperature. Below is a table of how to change ratings of Extruder Rupture Disks based on temperature. All MPI burst discs have Inconel diaphragms, so are not greatly temperature dependant.
